Not to be confused with the Fosse Way, the Roman road linking Exeter with Lincoln.
This Fossway, in the east end of Newcastle, still has a Roman connection though.
The road follows the course of Hadrian's Wall as it approached it's eastern end in Wallsend-on-Tyne
